Premio Marca Corona 2026-2027
Common Signs
Are you an artist or designer under 35?
Transform your research into a ceramic work.
Premio Marca Corona is back, the international competition dedicated to artists and designers. An opportunity to put your creative research to the test, engage with an outstanding jury and shape a project destined to become a real ceramic work.
Participation is free and open to Italian and international artists and designers aged 18 to 34.
Common Signs: the theme of the 2026-2027 edition
The 2026-2027 edition invites participants to reflect on relationships as a concrete, shared experience. Gestures, words, knowledge and collective practices become signs capable of expressing what connects people to one another and to matter.
Participants are asked to submit a project that will subsequently be produced on a ceramic surface and that interprets the value of human relationships and collaborative processes, engaging in dialogue with Marca Corona’s manufacturing heritage and the Sassuolo area.
The project must be submitted as a two-dimensional work, with a maximum size of 100 × 250 cm, conceived from the outset with its future realization in ceramic in mind.
An outstanding jury
The projects will be assessed by a jury made up of leading figures from the worlds of art, design, culture and business:
Marinella Senatore, artist
Mariacristina Ferraioli, curator and journalist
Luca Fiandri, R&D Manager, Ceramiche Marca Corona
Franco Broccardi, cultural economist
Alberto Fiore and Alessia Maiuri, Mazzoleni Gallery
Giuseppe Iannaccone, collector
Marina Parente, lecturer at the Department of Design, Politecnico di Milano
Matteo Ragni, designer
Sara Zambon, CEO, R&P Contemporary Art
The jury will select the proposals on the basis of quality, originality and relevance to the competition theme.
Artist residency and cash prize
The winning project will receive a cash prize and the opportunity to take part in a mentoring experience with Marca Corona, working closely with the company’s team and laboratory. The process will lead to the physical production of the work on a ceramic surface, with production costs covered by Marca Corona.
A genuine opportunity to transform a creative project into a tangible work and make it part of Marca Corona’s artistic journey, which since 1741 has brought together ceramic culture, craftsmanship and innovation.
