The route is divided into six exhibition rooms, each dedicated to a specific historical period.

An exciting journey that began, precisely, back in 1741…

Documents, papers, drawings, photographs that tell us more than 300 years of history…

One of the leading figures in international participatory art and named Artist of the Year 2026 by the National Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Rome, Senatore brings her artistic practice to ceramics for the first time, creating a new project that directly involves the Marca Corona community.

An artwork born through participation

The project began with a workshop involving the company’s employees, where words, personal stories, listening and somatic practices became the foundation of a shared creative process. From this experience emerged Materia Comune, Marinella Senatore’s first ceramic artwork.

For more than twenty years, the artist has developed collective artistic practices centred on people and relationships, transforming participation into artistic expression.

The exhibition "Materia Comune"

The artwork will be presented as part of the exhibition Materia Comune, on view from 9 October to 4 December 2026 at Galleria Marca Corona and the company’s headquarters in Sassuolo.

Curated by Mariacristina Ferraioli, the exhibition will also feature a selection of Marinella Senatore’s works, including collages, illuminated installations, paintings and sculptures, displayed in dialogue with the company’s historic collections.

The project will then continue in Bologna during ART CITY Bologna and Arte Fiera 2027, before concluding in autumn 2027 at Palazzo Ducale in Sassuolo, in collaboration with the Gallerie Estensi.
